    Dihybrid cross involves two pairs of contrasting characters. When a cross is made between yellow round and wrinkled-green plants only yellow round seeds are seen in \[{{F}_{1}}\] but in \[{{F}_{2}}\] four combinations are observed. Two of these combinations are parental and other two are new. The ratio of four combinations in \[{{F}_{2}}\] comes out as 9 (round, yellow): 3 (round, green): 3 (wrinkled, yellow) : 1 (wrinkled, green), i.e. 9 : 3 : 3 : 1.
