A colourblind person can not distinguish :

    A)  green and blue

    B)  red and green

    C)  yellow and white

    D)  black and yellow

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Colourblindness is a recessive disorder. It results from absence of cones in retina. In this disease an individual becomes unable to differentiate between red and green colour. Colourblindness for red or green colour is also known as daltonism (red blindness protanopia, greenblindness-deuteronopia and blue blindness-trianopia). This disorder is observed more in males than in females due to presence of only one X-chromosome in male.
