    When mercury mixed in water it is changed to water soluble dimethyl mercury, which undergoes biomagnification. Eating of such poisoned animals results minimata disease, which is characterised by diarrhoea haemolysis, impairment of various sense meningitis and death. It was first occurred in Minimata bay of Japan. Black foot disease is caused by chronic exposure of arsenic. Excess nitrate with haemoglobin forms non-functional methaemoglobin that inhibit \[{{O}_{2}}\] transport. It is known as blue baby syndrome. Lead causes anaemia and mental retardation due to degenerative changes in motor nerves.
