The stamens are monoadelphous. Androecium of family Liliaceae consists of six stamens arranged in two whorls, the stamens are opposite to the perianth leaves. Androecium of family Solanaceae contain 5 stamens, sometimes 4 and didynamous, when the stamens are less than five the lost stamen is usually represented by staminode.
