    Embryo sac represents the female gametophyte of angiosperms, which is mostly 7-celled and 8-nucleate structure. There is a large embryo sac with two polar nuclei. The micropylar end of the embryo sac is occupied by egg apparatus comprising egg cell and two synergids and the chalazal end is occupied by three antipodal cells. Microspore represent the first cell of male gametophyte. The plant body of angiospermic plant is sporophytic. The male plant also called male sporophyte wherease female plant as female sporophyte.
