    Work, \[W=\frac{1}{2}k(x_{2}^{2}-x_{1}^{3})\] \[=\frac{1}{2}\times 5\times {{10}^{3}}\left[ {{\left( \frac{10}{100} \right)}^{2}}-{{\left( \frac{5}{100} \right)}^{2}} \right]\] \[=\frac{1}{2}\times \frac{5\times {{10}^{3}}}{{{10}^{4}}}(100-25)\] \[=\frac{75}{4}\]
