    : In many ruminants the stomach has four chambers - rumen, reticulum, omasum and abomasum. The first three chambers are the modified part of oesophagous and are known as forestomachs. These three chambers does not scerete gastric juices. The abomasum is the glandular part and functions as true stomach. Abomasum secretes gastric juices containing enzymes.
