    Solution :

    : Because of high electronegativity,\[H-F\] forms strong\[H-\]bonds. As a result, it exists as an associated molecule,\[{{(HF)}_{n}}\]and hence is a liquid at room temperature while all other halogen acids are gases. However after a sudden drop in boiling point from HF to\[HCl,\]the boiling points of other hydrides gradually increase from\[HCl\]to HI because of increase in size of the halogen from\[Cl\]to\[I\]. In other words volatility decreases in the order: \[HCl>HBr>HI>HF\].
