    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

: Terai region is tropical forest. Tropical forests occur near the equator and are the most ecologically rich of all forest types. They are also one of the most threatened forest types due to logging and clearance for agriculture. The Terai region is composed of a 26 to 32 km wide broad belt of alluvial and fertile plain in the southern part of the country. This belt extends from the westernmost part of the country to the eastern limit and covers about 17% of the total land area. Terai forests are full of jasmin, minosa, accec.ia reeds and bamboo. Terai region refers to the southern lowlands of Nepal, which form part of the Gangetic plain, and also the river valleys located between the Shivalik and Mahabharat ranges (generally referred to as the inner Terai). The Inner Terai site is located in the eastern half of the Chitwan district. This ecoregion covers a wide range of habitat types-savanna grasslands, evergreen and deciduous forests, thorn forest, and steppe-corresponding to different moisture conditions.
