    Solution :

    : For a spring, \[T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{m}{k}}\] \[\therefore \]\[2k=\frac{4{{\pi }^{2}}m}{{{T}^{2}}}\]since the two springs are in parallel. or \[2k=\frac{4\times 9.86\times 12}{2\times 2}=118.3N/m\] \[\therefore \] \[k=59.15N{{m}^{-1}}\]
