    Solution :

    Using the relation,              \[\frac{{{n}_{1}}+{{n}_{2}}}{\gamma -1}=\frac{{{n}_{1}}}{{{\gamma }_{1}}-1}+\frac{{{n}_{2}}}{{{\gamma }_{2}}-1}\], we get              \[\frac{1+1}{\gamma -1}=\frac{1}{(5/3-1)}+\frac{1}{(7/5-1)}\]              \[\Rightarrow \frac{2}{\gamma -1}=\frac{3}{2}+\frac{5}{2}=4\]              \[\Rightarrow \gamma =\frac{3}{2}=\frac{24}{16}\]
