JEE Main & Advanced AIEEE Solved Paper-2002

  • question_answer
For a reaction \[A+2B\xrightarrow{{}}C\], rate is given by \[+\frac{d[C]}{dt}=k[A][B]\], hence the order of the reaction is   AIEEE  Solved  Paper-2002

    A) 3

    B)           2

    C) 1

    D)           0

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

The sum of powers of the concentration of the reactant in the rate law expression or differential rate equation is known as the order of that reaction.    e.g.,   \[r=k{{[A]}^{x}}{{[B]}^{y}}\]    then order \[=(x+y)\]    Here, in the given relation power of [A] is 1 an similarly power of \[[B]=1\]. Thus, the order of reaction is 2.
