Can the Indian Parliament change the federal structure of our country on its own? Give reason for your answer.

A)  Yes, if only the ruling political party have majority in both the houses of Parliament and passes the Constitution Amendment Bill by two thirds majority.

B)  Yes. Parliament only needs to pass a Constitution Amendment Bill by majority of its member present and voting.

C) No. Because any change to it has to be first passed by both the Houses of Parliament with at least two-thirds majority. Then it has to be ratified by the legislatures of at least half of the total states.

D)  No. Because the Constitution does not provide for any changes in the basic structure of our country.
