    A)  Rs. 8123.50

    B)  Rs. 1213.50

    C)  Rs. 9512.50

    D)  Rs. 1000.50

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    Let sum received by younger brother = Rs. x \[\therefore \] Sum received by elder brother = Rs.\[(20000-x)\] Given, \[x{{\left[ 1+\frac{5}{100} \right]}^{5}}=(20000-x){{\left[ 1+\frac{5}{100} \right]}^{3}}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x{{\left[ 1+\frac{5}{100} \right]}^{2}}=(20000-x)\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{441x}{400}=20000-x\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[441x+400x=8000000\] \[\therefore \] \[x=\frac{8000000}{841}=\]Rs. 9512. 50
