Their present ages are\[\left( x+5 \right)yr\]and\[\left( 5x+5 \right)\,yr.\] \[3\left( x+5+2 \right)=\left( 5x+5+2 \right)\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[3\left( x+7 \right)=\left( 5x+7 \right)\Rightarrow 2x=14\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[x=7\] Ratio of present ages of man and son \[=(5\times 7+5):(7+5)=40:12=10:3\]
