    Solution :

    Let Speed of person in still water = u km/h and Speed of stream = v km/h, then \[\,u+v=\frac{1\,\,km}{\frac{10}{60}h}=6\,\,km/h\]                    ?(i) \[u-v=\frac{1\,\,km}{\frac{30}{60}h}=2\,\,km/h\]                        ?(ii) On subtracting Eq. 9i0 from Eq. (ii), \[2\text{v}=6-2=4\] \[\therefore \]Speed of stream \[(v)=\frac{4}{2}=2\,\,km/h\]
