    Solution :

     Let the present ages of Chetana and Shikha be \[5x\] and \[7x\] years respectively. After 7 years,        \[\frac{5x+7}{7x+7}=\frac{11}{14}\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[\frac{5x+7}{x+1}=\frac{11}{2}\]  \[\Rightarrow \] \[11x+11=10x+14\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[x=3\] \[\therefore \] Required difference \[=7x-5x=2x=2\,\,\,\,3=6\] years
