    Solution :

     Let the ages of Vivek & Rahul 6 years before are'x and 4x respectively. \[(x+6)+(4x+6)=62\] yrs.  \[5x+12=62\]  \[5x=50\]   \[x=10\] The age of A Vivek before 5 years \[=10\times 1\] \[=10\] years At present age \[=10+6=16\] years The age of Rahul before 6 years             \[=10\times 4\] \[=40\] years At present Rahul \[=40+6\] \[=46\] years
