Direction: Read the following and answer the questions that follows.
Codominance is a relationship between two versions of a gene. Individuals receive one version of a gene, called an allele from each parent. If the alleles are different, the dominant allele usually will be expressed, while the effect of the other allele called recessive is masked. In codominance, however neither allele is recessive and the phenotypes of both alleles are expressed. An example in humans would be the ABO blood group, where allele A and allele B are both expressed. So, if an individual inherits allele A from their mother and allele B from their father, they have blood type AB.
Most popularly known blood grouping is the ABO grouping. It is named ABO and not ABC, because 'O' in it refers to having

    A) overdominance of this type on the genes for A and B types

    B) one antibody only either anti-A or anti-B on the RBCs

    C) no antigens A and B on RBCs

    D) other antigens besides A and B on RBCs

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

no antigens A and B on RBCs
