    [a] \[34=2\left( \frac{\ell }{2}+b \right)\,\,\,\,\,\Rightarrow \,\,\,\,\ell +2b=34\] \[38=2\left( \ell +\frac{b}{2} \right)\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\Rightarrow \,\,\,\,2\ell +b=38\] \[\therefore \,\,\ell =14,b=10.\] Area \[=14\times 10\text{ }c{{m}^{2}}=140\text{ }c{{m}^{2}}\]
