    [c] If y is number of days taken by a man alone to finish the work, we have \[\frac{1}{y}=\frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{12}\] or        \[\frac{1}{y}=\frac{3}{12}=\frac{1}{4}\] \[\therefore \,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,y=4\,\,days\]
