    Solution :

    Q is 9th from right end and R is fourth to the left of Q. So, R is 13th from the right end. Number of children left of \[R=\left( 40-13 \right)=\text{ }27\] Thus R is 28th from the left end. Also P is 13th from the left end clearly, there are 14 persons between P and R.
