    From the relation \[n=\frac{2T\,\cos \theta }{r\rho g}\] Where            T = surface tension In case of a particular pair i.e.           rh = constant, i.e. \[h\propto \frac{1}{r}\] \[\Rightarrow \]            \[\frac{{{h}_{1}}}{{{h}_{2}}}=\frac{{{r}_{2}}}{{{r}_{1}}}=\frac{2R}{R}=2\] \[\Rightarrow \]            \[{{h}_{2}}=\frac{{{h}_{1}}}{2}=\frac{h}{2}\] As, mass of water \[{{M}_{1}}=Ah\rho \] and      \[{{M}_{2}}=A{{h}_{2}}\rho \] \[\Rightarrow \]            \[{{M}_{2}}=A\left( \frac{h}{2} \right)\rho =\frac{M}{2}\]
