    Cell of higher e.m.f. will send the current in the circuit. Effective e.m.f. = 8 - 4 = 4 V Effective resistance \[=0.5+1+4.5+\frac{3\times 6}{3+6}=8\Omega \] current, 1=4/8= 0.5 A Terminal pot. diff. across\[{{E}_{1}}\] \[=4+0.5\times 0.5=4.25\,V\] Terminal pot. diff. across E                          \[=8-0.5\times 1=7.5\,V\] Hence, the correction option is (c).
