    [c] The 308 members of the Constituent Assembly signed two copies of the constitution document (one each in Hindi and English) on 24 January 1950. The original Constitution of India is hand-written with beautiful calligraphy, each page beautified and decorated by artists from Shantiniketan including Beohar Rammanohar Sinha and Nandalal Bose. Two days later, on 26 January 1950, the Constitution of India became the law of all the States and territories of India. Rs.1, 00, 00, 000 was official estimate of expenditure on constituent. On 16 May 1975, Sikkim became the 22nd state of the Indian Union. Right to property was originally a fundamental right, but under 44th Amendment Act 1978, right to property ceased to be a Fundamental right. Earlier, the age for registration of a voter was 21 years. Through the 61st amendment Act, 1988 of the Constitution read with Act 21 of 1989 amending the R.P. Act, 1950, the minimum age of registration of a voter has been brought down to 18 years. This has been made effective from 28th March, 1989.
