The equation of an AC voltage is\[V=220\sin \left( \omega t+\frac{\pi }{6} \right)\]  and the equation of the current in the circuit is \[l=22\sin \left( \omega t-\frac{\pi }{6} \right)\]. Which of the following is a correct statement?

    A)  The impedance of circuit is \[10\,\Omega \]

    B)  The reactance in circuit is \[5\sqrt{3}\,\Omega \]

    C)  The resistance in circuit is 5 Q

    D)  All the above

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

    Impedance \[(z)=\frac{{{v}_{0}}}{{{I}_{0}}}=\frac{220}{22}=10\,\Omega \] Phase difference \[(\delta )=\frac{\pi }{3}\] Power factor \[\cos \phi =\frac{R}{z}\Rightarrow \,\frac{1}{2}=\frac{R}{10}\Rightarrow \,R=5\,\Omega \] \[z=\sqrt{{{R}^{2}}+{{X}^{2}}}\] \[\Rightarrow \,\,X=\sqrt{{{z}^{2}}-{{R}^{2}}}\] \[=\sqrt{100-25}=\sqrt{75}=5\sqrt{3}\]
