    Solution :

    [a] Time period \[=\sqrt{\frac{I}{mgd}}\] mgd = constant for both situation. Moment of inertia about x-axis is less than the moment of inertia of about z-axis. So   \[{{I}_{x}}<{{I}_{z}},\] So  \[{{T}_{1}}<{{T}_{2}}\]
