[c] The PAHAL is the direct benefit transfer scheme for LPG consumers only. This scheme is being operated by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Under this scheme earlier (in 2013) Aadhar number was made mandatory. But in November, 2014, Government launched a reviewed scheme, in which cash subsidy is transferred to bank accounts even a person does not have Aadhar number.
