    [b] Tropical Savanna type climate is associated with the Tropical Savanna Grassland and Mansoon Decidous vegetation. The annual and diurnal ranges of temperature are high. Rainfall occurs mainly during the season of South-West monsoon (July to September). Such type of climate is found over major parts of Peninsular India including Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and the Purulia district of West Bengal. In semi-arid steppe climate the mean annual temperature is above \[18{}^\circ C\] and the rainfall is seasonal (in summer). This type of climate is found in the rain shadow zone of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Eastern Rajasthan and Gujarat. The cold humid winter type is characterised by short summer and cold humid winter. The winter temperatures is about WC and the summer temperature is below\[18{}^\circ C\]. Summers are short and humid. It is found in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
