    (i) How did Patrick help him?

    (vi) What is your opinion about the myna that behaved in a clever way?

    Answer:

    (i) Patrick had to consult a dictionary, guide the elf in doing sums in arithmetic and read out portions from history books.
    (ii) When the villagers tasted the liquid from waterfall, they found it simply cold water. They felt themselves cheated. Therefore they wanted to drown him in the waterfall.
    (iii) ".....One injured day, one dumb day." Blind day was the hardest because it always gave the feeling of being hit by something every moment.
    (iv) She meant that the Panch is always impartial. He has neither friends nor enemy. He always delivers a fair, just and true decision.
    (v) The shop was called Lucky shop, because the shop gave a chance to try luck. In the shop there were discs branded with numbers. One had to pick up six discs at 50 paise and total the numbers. He could win an article worth the number.
    (vi) It is true that the myna behaved in a clever way because it never took any risk to its life. It always reached a safer place after diving at the cobra which was fighting with the mongoose. The crow was fool so it lost its life behaving in a foolish manner but the myna survived because of its clearness. It later wisely decided not to interfere in the fight and silently flew away when the fight was over.
