Answer:

(i) Patrick wished that the little man or elf should do all his homework till the end of the semester.

(ii) As soon as Taro's father drank sake, he stopped shivering as he was very delighted and danced a little with joy.

(iii) The writer had heard a lot about Miss Beam's school. He wanted to see what kind of school it was and what was its teaching method.

(iv) Very few of the villager's sympathized with aunt. Most of the villagers laughed at her and asked her to patch up with Jumman.

(v) The boy won four prizes. These included a comb, a fountain pen, a wrist watch and a table lamp.

(vi) The cobra moved his split tongue in and out. He spread his broad spotted hood. He moved cleverly around the mongoose in an action of attack. Mongoose in its swift movement attacked the cobra from the back. At last, the mongoose was able to catch the cobra by its snouts. The cobra coiled itself around the mongoose, but it did not serve any purpose. The cobra died and was pulled away into the bushes.
