Answer:

(i) Because the dog did not like the life. It was leading. He was tired of wandering in search of food alone. Therefore he felt the need to have a master.

(ii) An astronaut must possess deep knowledge in every subject, right from biology to aeronautical engineering.

(iii) Serbjit becomes angry when people do not believe what he says whenever he speaks the truth.

When he explains his teacher why he could not do his homework, his teacher doubts him. This annoys him.

(iv) ?The voice of the Panch is the voice of God?, sums up the story best. The reason being that the story is based on friendship. But when one of the friends occupies the place of judge he becomes God and all are equal before him.

(v) The banyan tree bore small red fruit, and attracted all kinds of birds to sit on it.

(vi) The dog came to know that the bear was stronger than the wolf when he saw the wolf moving quickly into the bushes and creeping deeper into the forest because he was afraid of the bear. He also came to know that the bear could have killed both of them.
