(2) \[{{t}_{1}}+{{t}_{2}}=5\] (Given) \[\therefore \,\,\frac{d}{2}+\frac{d}{8}=5\] \[\Rightarrow \,\,\,\frac{4d+d}{8}=5\Rightarrow d=8\,km\] \[\therefore \] Distance of the place = 8 km.
