    Answer:

    Cell, mediated immunity is mediated by T, lymphocytes. It plays an important role in organ transplantation and is responsible for body's ability to differentiate between 'self and 'non, self tissues/organs.
    There are two groups of T, lymphocytes which are responsible for cell, mediated immunity
    (i) Cytotoxic/Killer T, Cells These cells kill the specific target cells by a variety of mechanisms.
    (ii) Helper T, Cells These cells activate the specific B, cells to produce antibodies.
    Thus, cell , mediated immunity plays an important role in organ transplantation.
