She went home happily and told her mother about the same. Her mother denied her to participate as the topic for the debate was on STDs. Neeta had a very strong argument with her mother on this.

(i) What according to you, Neeta must have said to her mother in regard to participate in the competition?

(ii) What values of Neeta are reflected by this incidence?

Answer:

(i) Neeta must have told her mother that inspite of living in such an educated and developing society, the awareness among people has not yet reached to the extent which is actually needed. Thus, the forceful and constant remind is eventually required. It is important to explain to people that due to the unawareness in our overpopulated country, number of STDs related, especially AIDS cases are increasing constantly.

(ii) Neeta reflected the values of an educated and concerned youth.
