How is a child affected if it has grown from the zygote formed by an egg that was lacking X-chromosome and an X-carrying sperm? What do you call this abnormality?

    Answer:

The union of an abnormal egg, lacking an X-chromosome and a normal X-sperm results in monosomic condition, i.e. 2n-1. The individual developed from such zygote would have 45 chromosomes instead of 46. This abnormality is known as Turner?s syndrome.
