    During a practical, class teacher explained various modes of reproduction found in different organisms. Discuss the mode of reproduction that occurs in yeast cells during fermentation process with the help of a neat and well-labelled diagram.

    Answer:

    Yeast cells reproduce asexually via budding. In this process, unequal small projections called buds develop as an outgrowth due to the repeated cell divisions on parent cells.
    Later these buds develop into tiny individuals. On maturation, these detach from parent body to become new independent individual.
