What are the qualifications for the appointment of a judge of the Supreme Court of India?

Answer:

        A judge of the Supreme Court should have the following qualification: (a) Be a citizen of India (b) Been a judge for at least five years' standing in a High Court or should have been an advocate of a High Court for the last ten years or be in the opinion of the President, a distinguished jurist.
