    Solution :

    Given that \[a,\ b,\ c\] in A.P. and \[b,\ c,\ d\] in H.P. So, \[2b=a+c\] and  \[c=\frac{2bd}{b+d}\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[c(b+d)=2bd=(a+c)d\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[bc=ad\].
