The ray diagram could be correct                           [CPMT 1988]

    A)            If \[{{n}_{1}}={{n}_{2}}={{n}_{g}}\]

    B)            If \[{{n}_{1}}={{n}_{2}}\] and \[{{n}_{1}}<{{n}_{g}}\]

    C)            If  \[{{n}_{1}}={{n}_{2}}\] and \[{{n}_{1}}>{{n}_{g}}\]

    D)            Under no circumstances

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

If \[{{n}_{l}}>{{n}_{g}}\] then the lens will be in denser medium. Hence its nature will change and the convex lens will behave like a concave lens.
