    1. It is used to see very small objects. It is used to see distant objects.
    2. Its objective is of small focal length and of small aperture. Its objective is of large focal length and large aperture.
    3. Its eyepiece is of small focal (but \[{{f}_{e}}>{{f}_{0}}\]) and of large aperture. Its eyepiece is of small focal length and small aperture.
    4. It produces linear magnification i.e., size of the image is larger than that of the object. It produces angular magnification i.e., the image is nearer to the eye but the size does not increase.
