Cost of 4 dozen i.e., \[4\times 12=48\]bananas = Rs. 60

\[\therefore \] Cost of 1 banana Rs.= \[\left( \frac{60}{48} \right)\]

\[\therefore \] The number of bananas purchased for Rs. 22.50

\[=\left( 22.50\div \frac{60}{48} \right)=\left( 22.50\times \frac{48}{60} \right)\]

\[=\left( \frac{1080}{60} \right)=18\]
