If the vertices of triangle are (0,2), (1,0) and (3,1), then the triangle is

    A) Equilateral

    B) Isosceles

    C) Right angled

    D) Isosceles right angled

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

Here \[A\,(0,\,\,2),\,\,B\,(1,\,\,0)\] and \[C\,(3,\,\,1).\] Therefore,  \[AB=\sqrt{1+4}=\sqrt{5},\,\,BC=\sqrt{4+1}=\sqrt{5}\]  and  \[zx+3y=9\] It is clear that \[{{(AC)}^{2}}={{(AB)}^{2}}+{{(BC)}^{2}}\] Hence, triangle is isosceles right angled.
