    Solution :

            Let ABCD is a rectangular piece of canvas. \[\Delta \,LBM\]is the triangular piece to be cut off.                    Required area = area of rectangle ABCD - area of \[\Delta \,LBM\] \[=25\times 16-\left( \frac{1}{2}\times 14\times 10 \right)=400-70=330c{{m}^{2}}\]
