Plateaus (i) They are a good place to live and easier to build on because the land is relatively flat. (ii) They are often rich in mineral resources such as iron, copper, silver, gold and precious stones. (iii) Plateaus that are formed of lava have fertile soils for agriculture. (iv) They also form extensive grasslands for rearing animals?e.g. Maasai steppes of Tanzania.
