    [Since the distance between image and mirror is 4 m so the object is placed at a distance of 4 m in from the mirror in front of it] (\[\because \]distance of image = distance of object in case of a plane mirror i.e. image is formed as far behind the mirror as is the object is in front of it) Now when we move object 1 m towards the mirror the distance of object from mirror =3m & distance of image from mirror = 3m \[\therefore \]Distance between object and image = (3+3) m or 6 m
