    C)         all of these

    D)         None of these

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

The first man-made port was found in Lethal and not Harappa. Excavations in Harappan towns have revealed the specimens of wheat and barley majorly, apart from peas, mustard and lentils and thus, wheat and barley could be designated as the major crops. Rakhigarhi in the Hisar district of Haryanahas now become the largest Harappan settlement, with a total area of approximately 350 hectares. Earlier, it was Mohenjodaro, which was argued to be the biggest settlement, with an area of around 300 hectares. The recent discovery of two mounds at Rakhigarhi (in January, 2014) have led archaeologists to designate it as the largest site. There is no evidence on the largest number of settlements to be concentrated in the Ghaggar-Haka village, though there are a large number ofHarappan settlements on the continuation of the Ghaggar Plain in northwest India.
