    (b) In 1517 Martin Luther pasted a printed copy of his Ninety Five theses which challenged the evil practices of the catholic-church. His writings were immediately printed reproduced in vast numbers and widely read. This led to a division of the Christian Church and the beginning of the Protestant Reformation- Thus print technology brought about a new intellectual atmosphere and helped to spread new ideas that led to the Reformation Movement.
