96,000 coulombs deposit on gm atom of monovalent silver. The positive charge on a silver ion is equal in magnitude to that of an electron and Avogadro's number is\[\text{6 }\times \text{ 1}{{0}^{\text{23}}}\]. Electronic charge will be

    A)  \[-1.6\times {{10}^{-19}}\text{coulomb}\]

    B) \[5.76\times {{10}^{28}}\text{coulomb}\]

    C)  \[6.2\times {{10}^{18}}\text{coulomb}\]

    D)  \[\text{-160}\,\,\text{coulomb}\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

     We know that,\[1F={{N}_{A}}\times e\] Given, \[1F=96000\]coulomb and\[{{N}_{A}}=6\times {{10}^{23}}\] So,          \[e=\frac{1F}{{{N}_{A}}}=\frac{96000}{6\times {{10}^{23}}}\]                    \[=16000\times {{10}^{23}}\]                    \[=1.6\times {{10}^{-19}}coul\].
