Then amount paid by Deepa \[=x-\frac{20}{100}x=\frac{8}{10}x,\] and amount paid by Gargi\[=\frac{8}{10}x\times \left( 1-\frac{30}{100} \right)\] \[=\frac{8}{10}x\times \frac{7}{10}=\frac{56}{100}x\] Now, \[\frac{56}{100}x=17920\] \[\therefore \]\[x=\frac{\cancel{\overset{320}{\mathop{17920}}\,}\times 100}{56}=32000\]
